BookHive is an Australian-owned company that is committed to providing the most advanced unified textbook solution available, complete with thousands of digital and eBook titles – all specifically licensed for schools.
Both BookHive and ePlatform – our eLibrary lending solution - are subsidiaries of Wheelers, Australasia’s largest supplier of books and eBooks to school and public libraries.
Having a steadfast heritage spanning almost 50 years, our family-owned business has since evolved with technology and expanded accordingly with offices now operating in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and the United Kingdom.
This is simple and we've done it thousands of times in many different ways. Standard BookHive implementation can be up and running in just a few hours and doesn’t require your IT department to get involved.
There are also more sophisticated options where our system talks to your system which will need your IT team to get involved - these include LDAP and SIP2.
BookHive will set up the student authentication process to ensure that every student is a valid user and sees the textbooks they are entitled to. To learn more about Student Authentication and the different options, please refer to our Student Authentication page.
Thousands of digital textbook titles and eBook fiction titles specifically licensed for schools are available through Wheelers for BookHive. With a huge range of fiction and non-fiction titles to choose from (over 350,000 titles at last count), including educational and region specific titles, you can populate your BookHive to suit the exact preferences of your students. You can view a selection of featured titles and publishers on our website here or contact us for a login to see the full range of titles available.
Absolutely. We keep your students and their content secure. We set up a link between BookHive and your authentication system so that members are required to login and be authenticated prior to accessing titles. BookHive keeps the eBooks secure and protected by digital rights management (DRM).
Ensuring correct provisioning of titles across the student population is critical and BookHive provides tools to ensure this process is smooth and efficient.
Detailed usage reports are stored in the Admin area of your BookHive under the sub heading ‘Reporting & Tools’.
You can download numerous reports on demand.
The platform itself is free to use with no lock in contracts as long as the platform is being actively used.
We are expanding the available countries for ePlatform One based on demand. If you don't see it advertised on the pricing page then it has not reached your country yet. Please contact us to express your interest, better still muster a group of schools and we will consider building a collection for you.
